Camera Loads

When a film roll came to the end or "rolled out" inside the camera magazine, the mag had to be removed from the camera and a fresh roll of film installed. In the digital camera realm, the physical camera magazine is not used but rather an electronic recording tape, card, chip or drive of some sort is used to capture the digital data coming from the camera imaging device. The same term "camera loads" or "camera reload" has carried over from the film days because the same process of stopping the shoot to reload the camera image recorder continues to be a regular occurrence on-set.
